Hippie Turtle Herbal Co. (HTHC) is committed to reducing our environmental impact and embedding sustainability throughout our operations. This policy outlines the key areas where we manage environmental responsibility and reflects our ongoing commitment to a Net Zero target by 2030.

2. Environmental Management 

• We operate as a lean, low-impact business with minimal physical infrastructure.

• Our packaging and operational choices prioritise sustainability and resource efficiency. 

• We review our environmental practices annually and adjust them in line with industry standards and regulatory updates. 

3. Carbon Reduction 

• HTHC has set an internal target to achieve Net Zero by 2030.

• We utilise carbon-neutral shipping options where possible through Royal Mail and DPD.

• All suppliers are UK/EU based, significantly reducing emissions from long-haul transport. 

• Ongoing efforts focus on further reducing carbon emissions from packaging, logistics, and operations. 

4. Sustainable Procurement 

• We only source from reputable UK/EU suppliers who operate under regulated and ISO-level manufacturing standards.

• We ensure that all suppliers maintain compliance with relevant legislation (e.g. Novel Foods, cosmetic regulations). 

• We prioritise suppliers who demonstrate sustainable practices in their own operations. 

5. Circularity & Packaging 

• We use FSC-certified packaging and are committed to reducing plastic use.

• Packaging is designed with recyclability and end-of-life reuse in mind. 

• We continually review options to improve circularity, including biodegradable and reusable packaging solutions. 

6. Review & Accountability 

• This policy is owned by the founder and reviewed annually.

• All environmental commitments are integrated into HTHC’s Sustainability & Net Zero Commitment Statement.

• Non-compliance by suppliers may result in corrective action or termination of contracts.
